Steve Hart – all you need to know and less…

Steve is the host of Just Jazz, he’s a journalist, occasional VO artist, and built this website using bits of code found in box under the stairs.

The former professional club DJ managed to entertain UK club-goers across Essex and Kent with his choice of music and tomfoolery until the corporations took over in the 90s.

He had a short stint at stand-up (until he was asked to sit down), and you may have seen him on UK’s Channel 4 TV (as the interference).

He was a Radio Top Shop presenter, volunteered at Southend Hospital Radio, hosted breakfast at Basildon Radio (now Gateway), and reported news at BBC Essex and Essex Radio.

He hosted 80s club music show The Pleasuredome for three years until 2017 and records his programmes in a broom cupboard using an avant-garde mixture of wooden boxes, string, bits of wire, and elastic bands.

Steve moved from London to Auckland, New Zealand in 2000 and would kill for a pint in an old English pub served with Cumberland sausage and chips. Oh, and a traditional English teacake… and the pecan pie you used to get at Iceland wouldn’t go amiss either.

He is the author of the 10-seller book Podcasting Made Easy and science fiction short Mayan and The Legion of Alice – available in paperback, audio book, E-Pub and Kindle. He enjoys all-things creative; writing, audio production and radio jingles, and is a dab hand at using Reason, Reaper, and Izotope.
