Hello, my name is Steve Hart, and welcome to my personal website that has no real purpose other than being a place to share stuff I enjoy producing. If my ‘content’ provides a welcome distraction from what you should be doing then my job is done.

But what about me? Well, to paraphrase a line from a popular 1982 rap song, ‘I was born a long time ago, and now I’m lucky enough to be here with you’. To which the child on the record rightly asks – ‘but what happened in between?’ Well, it pretty much went like this…

Short story: Born in the UK, spent 10 years as a nightclub DJ and radio presenter before switching to working as a journalist, rising to editor. Moved to Auckland, New Zealand, to join the New Zealand Herald, and now I’m getting up to mischief in Australia.
